# Privacy policy

Last updated October 22, 2026

This policy covers softball.events and its subdomains (such as usa.softball.events), fastpitch.events and slowpitch.events. RegisterPlay runs these sites (“we”).

## The short version

- You do not need an account. There are no forms and no sign-in.
- We use no cookies, no advertising trackers and no analytics tools.
- We do not sell or share personal information.

## What we collect

- Visit logs. Like every website, our servers and our network provider, Cloudflare, record each request: your IP address, the page, the time and your browser type. We use these logs to keep the site running and to stop abuse, and we keep them only as long as we need them for that.
- Approximate location. Cloudflare tells us the state and city of your internet connection. We use it only to open the home page on tournaments near you. We do not store it.
- Email. If you email us, we keep your message and address to answer you.

## What stays in your browser

- “Use my location” asks your browser for your position. Your browser uses it to sort tournaments by distance. It is not sent to us.
- A zip code you type is looked up in your browser. Only its first digit reaches our server.

## Other services your browser contacts

- Map images come from OpenStreetMap and the fonts come from Google Fonts. Your browser loads them directly, so those services see your IP address.
- Links to Google Maps, and to the association sites where you enter a team, take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

## Tournament listings

Listings are published by the tournament organizers on RegisterPlay. Some show the organizer’s or a venue’s name. If something about you appears in a listing and should not, email hello@softball.events and we will work with the organizer to fix it.

## Children

The site is for anyone looking for tournaments, including players and families. It does not ask anyone, of any age, for personal information.

## Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@softball.events. You can turn off location sharing in your browser at any time.

## Changes

If we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new date.
